About the Role:
Willow Ridge Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated Laundry Aide to join our team at Willow Ridge Healthcare. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and other laundry items are cleaned, folded, and stored properly. You will work closely with our housekeeping and nursing staff to ensure that all laundry needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. This role is critical to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in laundry operations
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospitality setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Sort and wash laundry items according to color, fabric, and type
- Dry, fold, and store laundry items in designated areas
- Maintain inventory of all laundry items and notify supervisor when supplies are running low
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed
Skills:
As a Laundry Aide, you will utilize your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that all laundry items are properly sorted, washed, dried, folded, and stored. You will also use your communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our housekeeping and nursing staff to meet all laundry needs. Additionally, your ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment will be critical to the success of this role.
