RPS – Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician at RPS you are a skilled technician in a key position that maintains connections between clients and vendors. This multi-faceted individual will proactively solve maintenance issues using troubleshooting techniques for both residential and commercial properties. The goal of RPS is to maintain long-term relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Your Responsibilities:
Technical Maintenance: duties include but are not limited to basic knowledge in:
- HVAC
- Electrical
- Drywall
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Building automation systems
- Preventative maintenance
- Capital projects
- Other specialized skills
Office duties:
- Time tracking
- Paperwork/Credit card receipts
- Multiple software platforms
General Duties:
- Property inspections and walks to preserve the image of the building and the safety of the community through general upkeep and maintenance by continual monitoring of potential property issues
- In certain circumstances technicians will also be required to shovel, sand/salt, pull weeds, and complete light landscaping to maintain the safety and integrity of the properties
- RPS provides continual training to analyze and troubleshoot maintenance issues
- Finds solutions to complex problems
- Respond and complete all service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to handle a wide array of situations, personalities, and a fast-paced work environment
- Collaborates with all teams to meet organizational goals
- Communicate potential building code and ADA compliance issues to the attention of the company
- Determines the methods, techniques, materials, and application devices best suited to obtaining the finishes required by investigating, diagnosing, and understanding the problem at hand
- Ability to fix any problem if possible or effectively communicating with your immediate Supervisor and/or contacting a vendor if needed
Working Conditions:
o Technician duties entail the following environmental factors:
- Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Working alone or as part of a work team
- Working with loud equipment
- Follows established safety procedures and practices to avoid injury and possible hazards in the work area
- Uses personal protective clothing, equipment, and safety gear (e.g., safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with no assistance

What You Bring to Us:
- 1-3 years in Maintenance Experience
- Clean driving record
- AppFolio, Yardi, Microsoft Office, and other technology experience (preferred)

- Familiar with federal, state, and local laws including all Fair Housing

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
