SUMMARY
Real Salt Lake is looking for a motivated individual looking to gain experience in the area of professional sports equipment. They will be directly involved in helping cover the first and second teams’ day-to-day responsibilities, while also learning and developing skills to excel in the equipment profession.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist with the day-to-day management and preparation of equipment needs for players and staff.
- Organize and prepare lockers to team standards.
- Assist with coaching and medical staff deliver and set up equipment to/from the fields.
- Assist with training equipment distribution and collection daily.
- Assist with daily laundry and locker room clean-up.
- Maintenance of equipment and practice facilities.
- Loading and unloading equipment trucks to and from trips.
- Assist with and learn the inventory process for equipment orders at the beginning of the year.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent people skills including verbal and written communications and the ability to exercise good judgement.
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritize responsibilities and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the teams’ schedule and events.
- Able to pass a background check and become safe sport certified.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
