SUMMARY:

This individual will be critical in managing and maintaining key stadium technologies, including broadcast engineering systems, Daktronics LED displays and control systems, IPTV networks, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and a passion for live sports, broadcast production, and stadium technology.

This individual will be critical in managing and maintaining key stadium technologies, including broadcast engineering systems, Daktronics LED displays and control systems, IPTV networks, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and a passion for live sports, broadcast production, and stadium technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and support of all broadcast engineering systems within the stadium and team facilities.
- Manage and maintain Daktronics LED display systems, including video boards, ribbon boards, and control software (Show Control, Venus, etc.).
- Administer IPTV systems, including content distribution, hardware troubleshooting, and integrations with venue A/V systems.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for matchday operations, concerts, and special events, ensuring seamless A/V and broadcast support.
- Coordinate with MLS, broadcasters, and third-party vendors to support technical requirements for national and regional broadcasts.
- Supervise and assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of production and technical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with game presentation, IT, and stadium operations teams to support event-day workflows.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and respond to technical issues in a timely manner.
- Train and lead part-time or game-day technical staff as needed.
- Maintain documentation of systems, signal flows, inventory, and standard operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of experience in broadcast engineering, live event production, or stadium technical services.
- Proficiency with Daktronics control systems (Show Control, Venus Control Suite, DMP-7000, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of IPTV systems, video/audio routing, fiber infrastructure, and control rooms.
- Familiarity with broadcast standards (SDI, NDI, Dante, etc.) and live production switchers, replay systems, and graphics hardware.
- Experience with lighting systems such as LightLEEDer and Pharos is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Willingness to work with hands-on equipment, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in sports, entertainment, or live event environments is highly preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:
- SBE Certification (Society of Broadcast Engineers)
- Daktronics system training/certifications
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) from AVIXA
- Networking knowledge (IP addressing, multicast, VLANs)

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
