Sr. Embedded Software Engineer - Hybrid - Greater Boston MA Medical Device - Permanent up to 165k base 10% bonus
Please see the below requirements for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a successful med tech OEM in the Greater Boston MA area. The organization develops electromechanical, interventional capital equipment used in operating rooms, ICU's and ER's. This role is within a cross-functional R&D group that is focused on delivering new products and features to industry standards and the company's quality management system. Main tasks will include developing real-time embedded software for complex electromechanical systems coding in C/C , requirements development, communication with end users, documentation, and some mentoring of junior engineers.
- BS in Engineering
- 5 years minimum of demonstrated experience in embedded software development using C/C working with electromechanical devices
- Experience working with microprocessors/PCBAs/valves/power supplies/pumps
- Medical device (IEC 62304) or other regulated industry experience is a must (aerospace/defense)
- Preferred experience with RTOS, QT development, cybersecurity activities,
- Experience mentoring junior engineers is preferred
- Ideal candidate has experience in with agile sw development methodologies and scrum framework
- Excellent communication skills are a must
