Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and other critical care medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure proper medication administration.
- Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products to prevent contamination.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with ordering medications as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital setting is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and IV infusion processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

- Previous experience in medication administration is an asset.
