They are currently seeking an accomplished Project Manager to oversee and facilitate their most significant initiatives or adeptly manage multiple smaller projects concurrently. This pivotal role offers a vibrant and forward-looking work environment. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate across their comprehensive portfolio, which includes planning, executing, and evaluating major projects nationwide.

Our client values diversity and inclusivity and is committed to creating a level playing field for all individuals while promoting equal opportunities. They strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds, genders, and walks of life to apply, especially those active in provincial and national female construction groups and organizations and those committed to breaking glass ceilings for traditionally under-represented groups in the construction industry, such as women and IBPOC folks.

As an ideal candidate, you will be:

  • Energetic: You approach complex challenges with a spirited and engaged demeanor, ready to tackle any task zealously.
  • Driven: With an intrinsic motivation, you possess the tenacity to advance projects under any circumstances.
  • Honest: You're open and accountable, ready to own up to mistakes and learn from them.
  • Administrative: You're proficient in managing budgets, change orders, and reports and have a high degree of competency with Microsoft applications and collaborative software.
  • Personable: Your strength lies in forging and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Communicator: Excellence in proactive interactions with subtrades and the team, coupled with robust verbal and written communication skills, is one of your assets.
  • Organized: Your meticulous approach to project organization sets you apart.
  • Safety Leader: You ensure that unsafe conditions are immediately rectified and that all work complies with the highest safety standards, procedures, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership in Construction: Work closely with the Senior Leadership to develop construction strategies aligned with the company’s vision. Ensure the seamless execution of projects, adhering to quality, budget, and timeline targets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners. Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet collaborative goals.

  • Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance: Enforce quality and safety standards, aligning with regulations and best industry practices. Instigate safety programs and advocate for excellence in construction techniques.

  • Fiscal Oversight: Manage budgets with precision, ensuring efficient cost estimation and financial monitoring across the project lifespan. Analyze and implement cost-effective measures while maintaining project financial objectives.

  • Growth and Business Development: Identify and seize opportunities for growth. Build and maintain relationships that highlight the company’s strengths and market position.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
  • A demonstrable track record working on complex construction projects, specifically in residential or multi-family buildings.
  • Proven experience supporting strategic planning in the construction industry.
  • Strong focus on team building and leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate junior team members.
  • Expertise in construction methodologies and practices.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, cost control, and operational optimization.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainable construction practices.
  • Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities is highly valued.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Compensation:
