We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Senior Design Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on creating, validating, and refining product designs, ensuring alignment with performance and manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments, lead design projects, and contribute to product quality and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine prototype models and methodologies to test and validate design concepts.
- Conduct and document engineering calculations to support design decisions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, vendors, and contractors to ensure designs meet technical and operational requirements.
- Review and approve design changes while ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Partner with engineering support teams to review final designs and implement necessary modifications.
- Address manufacturing challenges and propose solutions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative ideas into design processes.
- Visit customer sites to verify product performance, address issues, and gather feedback.
- Maintain detailed project records, including timelines and progress reports.
- Support cross-functional teams with technical guidance and expertise.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience.
- Proficient in using CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks; experience with MathCAD is a plus.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) based on ANSI Y14.5 standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to generating new ideas.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with fluid handling devices (e.g., valves, pumps) is an advantage.
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
