Lawn Treatment Technician

The spray technician is responsible for performing lawn treatment applications and aerations for our turf program clients. Preference is given to candidates with a valid pesticide applicator's license and prior spray experience.

You will be responsible for preparing and applying chemical mixtures based on the direction of the turf program manager. You will need to be familiar with the identification of common lawn weeds and turf grass varieties found in the Middle Georgia area. This position requires good attention to detail since you'll need to recognize other types of weeds besides the target ones and note them for treatment on a follow-up visit.

• Collection of soil samples
• Filling out work logs
• Identifying upsell opportunities
• Cleaning and prepping your work truck and equipment

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 6 months experience with turf grass management/herbicide treatment application is required (Preference given to candidates with one year experience or more)
• Able to do basic mathematical calculations following given formulas
• Have a valid Georgia driver's license
• Have a current DOT physical OR ability to pass a DOT physical screening
• Have a clean driving history with no major incidents on record
• Complete a background check with no major criminal history
• Ability to pass random drug tests (without needing time to "study" for them)
• Able to walk long distances for extended periods without difficulty
• Able to lift 85 pounds to chest height unassisted
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry 40 pounds for a minimum distance of 10 yards at least 20 times in a row without pause or assistance
• Able to lift and carry 60 pounds for a minimum distance of 30yrds unassisted
• Able to perform tasks requiring repetitive arm/wrist/hand movements for extended periods without difficulty
• Able to carry out physically demanding tasks while working unassisted in standing positions for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
