Seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join a dynamic team in the manufacturing sector of Durham, North Carolina. This contract position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in CGMP practices, hazardous waste management, and risk assessment within the manufacturing or life science industries.
- Draft and maintain detailed risk assessments and EHS-related documents.
- Conduct thorough accident investigations and analyses to prevent future incidents.
- Manage processes involving hazardous waste removal adhering to safety regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent experience
- Solid experience with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
- Proven ability in drafting and maintaining EHS documents and compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or life sciences is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to perform detailed accident investigations and root cause analysis.
This position is based in Durham, North Carolina, a hub for innovation in manufacturing and life sciences.
* Draft and maintain risk assessments and other EHS paperwork.
* Perform accident investigations / analysis
* Author, review and approve GMP documents in Veeva.
* Coordinate and ship out assets for off-site calibrations, acquire quotes for service and scheduling shipments and pick ups
* Serve as a designated Controlled Substance Monitor for controlled substance activities according to SOP's and policies.
