Job Title: ETL Developer
Job Summary:
The ETL Senior Developer leads planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and control of ETL processes involved in Encounter Data Processing System(EDPS). The ETL Senior Developer consults with technical manager on product requirements and applies technical expertise in ETL development, SQL and data analysis to develop new encounter type process and enhance existing system to add new features. Having healthcare claim data knowledge is desired to perform activities efficiently of this role.
Roles and responsibilities include following:
Understand functional requirements for EDPS system and prepare high level and detailed design document including various transformations and mappings involved to achieve the functionality.- Breakdown development activities into smaller tasks and prioritize to assign to development team.
- Develop transformation logic and mappings using Informatica Power Center, develop workflows to execute those mappings concurrently.
- Review developed ETL components (maps, transformations, tasks, and workflows) and make sure review comments have been addressed before promoting to QA environment.
- Develop complex SQL queries for data aggregation and fine tune existing SQL queries to improve system performance.
- Support customer questions by analyzing encounters data and provide answers and fix if any issues found by aligning to BAU process.
- Learn and support Informatica powerCenter version upgrade on all environments, when needed.
Experience:
5 to 7 years of Informatica PowerCenter(10x version and above) experience in developing complex ETL mappings.- 5 to 7 years of experience working with relational databases like DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc. Should be able to write complex logic in SQL to get data insights and do data analysis.
- 5 to 7 years of experience working with flat files as source and targets using Informatica PowerCenter.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, data quality.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performance tuning aspects of PowerCenter mappings.
- 1 to 2 years of shell scripting experience preferably on Linux OS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare domain is good to have.
- Good to have skills: Experience in migration of PowerCenter to IICS, Experience in BI solutions like Cognos, Power BI.
