Job Title: Medical Coding Auditor (Coding Manager)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coding Auditor to join our team as a Coding Manager. The Coding Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of medical coding practices within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of coding professionals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct regular audits of medical coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Provide feedback and training to coding staff to improve coding accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and implement coding policies and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate coding practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve coding issues and improve documentation
• Stay informed about changes in coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance
• Monitor coding performance metrics and report on key performance indicators to senior management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding auditing
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Proficient in medical coding software and electronic health record systems
