Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute performance tests to assess system performance, stability, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine testing objectives, strategies, and success criteria
- Design and implement test scenarios that emulate real-world usage scenarios
- Utilize performance testing tools and frameworks to conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing
- Monitor and analyze test results, identifying performance bottlenecks, and proposing solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug complex performance issues to identify their root cause
- Develop comprehensive performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with developers to optimize system performance through code and infrastructure changes
- Stay updated with emerging performance testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficient in performance testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, such as HTTP, REST, and SOAP
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and analyzing performance metrics (e.g., New Relic, AppDynamics)
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
