Job title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse (PICU)

Job Summary:

As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care, you will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for your young patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monitor and assess the condition of pediatric patients in the ICU, including vital signs, lab values, and response to treatments
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Participate in medical emergencies and code blue situations as part of the rapid response team

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and PALS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric intensive care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and work in different healthcare settings
