Primary Purpose
The Estimator of Project Construction primary role is to provide preliminary budget information to the Project Manager and Development team. These budgets will be produced at all phases of the Development and approval process. Documents provided to complete these budgets include preliminary site plans, design sketches, schematic and design development plans.

Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Pre-Construction
- Prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from historical data from previous projects and estimates.
- Develop detail scopes of work
- Establishment and management of National unit costing
- Assemble and present budget presentation to management
- Participate in project meetings and actively present and review budgets
- Develop and build relationships with national contractor base
- Excellent computer and math skills
- Knowledge of current market costs and trends.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering
- 5 years experience in cost estimating or preconstruction, tenant design or retail construction management
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- General knowledge of construction management process, including site work, architectural considerations, building construction, structural, mechanical, and electrical distribution and 0ther utilities, landscaping, and paving.
- Must be comfortable working in team environment and with deadlines
- Must be able to work on several projects at the same time
- Extensive experience in commercial estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required.
- Ability to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making, and problem solving skills essential.
- Must be computer literate and receptive to emerging technology and software programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

The employee is regularly required to: see well (either naturally or with correction), speak and hear, work skillfully with hands coordinate the use of eyes hand and fingers, and lift minimum of 30 pounds.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
