Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of lime and minerals processing equipment.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair activities to address equipment malfunctions and minimize production disruptions.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to optimize plant processes and address maintenance-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement safety procedures to create a secure working environment.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs while maintaining high standards of equipment reliability.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
- Provide regular reports to upper management on maintenance performance, equipment status, and upcoming maintenance activities.
- Manage capital projects and capital budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of lime and minerals processing equipment, including crushers, kilns, conveyors, and related systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work off-hours or weekends as needed for maintenance emergencies or planned shutdowns.
