My client is hiring a Senior Accountant for their Puyallup, WA Manufacturing Facility.
Under direction from management and using independent judgment, performs advanced and specialized accounting assignments, usually involving complex and confidential data.
Obtains and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations.
Provides work leadership and direction to other accountants and clerical workers.
May also provide special project assistance to the CFO or Controller.
Essential Responsibilities
Any combination of education and required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying:
Knowledge of fixed asset control and depreciation, knowledge of manufacturing financial environment that includes cost accounting and labor and material variance reporting, SAP, thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Skill
Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Proficient in computer applications (specifically Microsoft Office Suite and Pivot table use and development)
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment,
Ability to positively impact performance and teamwork at all levels, teambuilding and analytical skills are required
Please note: this position is required to be in the office in Puyallup 5 days a week. They do not offer remote work options.

Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare assigned journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Completes monthly accounting close efforts, process and calculation of transactions, and prepare auditable account reconciliations
- Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Compile audit PBC requests and selections for testing
- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets.
- Assists with long-term accounting projects, upgrades and/or process enhancements
- Assists Finance Director with development and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans for corporate manufacturing facility and distribution centers that are geographically dispersed
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Any combination of education and required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Consolidation experience
- Strong Excel skills with at least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Proficient in ERP/Accounting software (Frontier and SAP a plus), data import and export and Microsoft Office.
