Key Responsibilities
- Service Monitoring & Maintenance:Oversee live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
- Incident Resolution:Quickly identify and resolve service degradation issues by performing root cause analysis.
- Escalate and collaborate with appropriate teams to prevent future occurrences.
- Technical Communication:Partner with third parties, vendors, and internal teams to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge Management:Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles to improve support processes.
- System Reliability:Work with infrastructure and development teams to enhance platform stability and reliability.
- Alerting & Troubleshooting:Create new alerts and troubleshoot failed scheduled jobs to support production systems.
- Documentation & Policies:Document and continuously refine internal policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:4 years in a similar role within financial services technology, transaction processing, or related areas.
- Hands-on experience with web-based platform environments, including network, database, and application layers.
- Technical Proficiency:Expertise in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and infrastructure monitoring tools such as:
- Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds (or similar).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of API integrations, data analysis, and reporting tools is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Experience with problem management processes and post-incident reviews.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, DNS, HTTP, load balancing, and web servers.
- Experience with Azure Cloud.
- Exposure to RunDeck Scheduling System.
