Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our preconstruction department, you will be responsible for preparing budgets, pre-bid packages, and full-scope estimates based on Design-Build and/or Construction Manager construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Develop schematics and construction document estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work
- Issue notice of awards to subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare quantity surveys and review project plans and specifications
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in preconstruction/estimating on commercial construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- Strong estimating, budgeting, negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and sustainable and green building practices
