Key Responsibilities
- Settling cases for the maximum benefit to our clients
- Winning trials
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction
- Turning around a high volume of cases efficiently
- Setting client expectations
- Never over promise but always overdeliver
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Work with experts; generating, tending relationships with experts so that we can prove our case
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
- Court Appearances/ Court Hearings / Oral Arguments
- Licensed and in good standing with Tennessee Bar (Licenses in MS and or AR are pluses)
- Minimum of 1-year experience in personal injury litigation, defense or plaintiffs is preferred for litigation attorneys
- Strong negotiation skills
- Crisis de-escalator skills, calm under fire
- A comprehensive understanding of personal injury law and insurance is desirable
- Strong legal research and writing skillsAbility to manage a demanding caseload
- Ability to Identify complex problems and review related information
- Ability to listen to clients, taking time to understand the points made and asking the appropriate questions
- Ability to display sincere empathy for clients is a must!
- Ability to convey information effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to determine the relative costs and benefits of each potential case
- Effective leadership skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to follow firm policies and procedures while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use the Firms key case management software
