Occupational Therapy at Rebecca School:
Applicants should feel comfortable with providing therapeutic services on both an individual and group basis in collaboration with other disciplines including but not limited to PT, SLP, and social work. Sessions can occur in a variety of environments, contexts, and social settings, depending on each student’s individualized occupational therapy program.

· Compensation: 36,000-37,500 for part-time 3 days a week position based on 10-month position with growth opportunity to transition to full-time 12 month position.

· Schedule: Monday-Friday Monday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-3:30 Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00-4:30.

Job Responsibilities:
· Provide pediatric occupational therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of function relative to the student’s age and educational placement.
· Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to students that reflect their individual fine/gross motor skill development, sensory motor integration, self-care and activities of daily living.
· Develops occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to improve student functional abilities and enhance their ability to learn (classroom and individual sensory diets)
· Provide team members with education for facilitation of implemented techniques or modalities (brushing, deep pressure, vibration, oral motor, feeding, HWT, How Your Engine Run, Listening Program, etc.)
· Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
· Consistent communication with parents/caregivers.
· Writing of daily session notes, biannual progress reports, initial evaluations, treatment plans.
Qualifications:
· Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
· Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in NYS
Preferred/Nice to have:
· Knowledge of DIRFloortime® is preferred, but not required
