Your Role as Clinical Coordinator
- Provide Individual & Group Counseling Services – Deliver student-centered individual and group counseling sessions based on developmental and emotional needs. Facilitate clinical groups that support emotional regulation, social skills, and interpersonal development in alignment with DIR/Floortime methodology.
- Oversee Counseling Caseloads & Clinical Services – Manage and assign counseling caseloads across the department to ensure equitable and effective service delivery. Supervise clinical staff and maintain oversight of the quality and compliance of clinical services provided.
- Support Student Development Through Evaluations & Planning – Participate in related service referral meetings, conduct psychosocial assessments, and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans. Provide student counseling and therapeutic support in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Contribute to Professional Development & Research – Maintain professional competence by attending staff development and continuing education programs. Participate in the IRB Committee and research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and innovative program development.
- Educate and Empower Families & Staff – Provide training, consultation, and ongoing support to families and staff. Offer psychoeducation to caregivers and classroom teams to promote consistency and understanding of students’ emotional and behavioral needs.
- Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Attend and contribute to classroom/team meetings, staff trainings, and Greenspan meetings. Partner with educators, therapists, and leadership to ensure integrated care and student-centered planning.
- Support Program-Wide Responsibilities – Assist with other Rebecca School responsibilities as designated by the Program Director, supporting the broader mission of providing a nurturing and therapeutic educational environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Mental Health field.
- Licensed in state of New York.
- DIR Experience.
- 10 years of Mental Health related experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community.
