Job Summary
Event Sales:
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities for corporate, social, and group events.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct site tours, respond to RFPs, and create compelling event proposals.
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision and coordinate all aspects of their events, including food & beverage, room setup, audiovisual, and other special requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from contract signing through post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution, maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Manage a small team of unionized servers/bartenders, including supervision, scheduling and payroll.
- Partner with sales, operations, and culinary teams to optimize event experiences and profitability.
- Actively participate in hotel meetings and planning sessions to align events with broader business objectives.
- Embrace opportunities for learning and professional growth, seeking out new ways to improve processes and exceed client expectations.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to maintain Ink48 Hotel's competitive edge.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in event sales, planning and execution required.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proficiency in event management software and basic office applications is a plus.
