- A 10 year old Durable Medical Equipment Supplier is looking for a Medical Sales Territory Representative for the Northeast Ohio area to build upon an established book of business.
- We are looking for an organized, self-motivated, energetic, experienced professional who enjoys interacting with physicians and their office staff.
- The Medical Sales Territory Representative will be fully supported with a dedicated team that includes sales leadership, operations, and administration.
- Products and services are high value items that require the Medical Sales Territory Representative to provide medical information on use to the physician, guide medical staff on documentation requirements, and work with operations to ensure patient receives the equipment in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for influencing physicians and medical practitioners to use products and services that help their patients to:
1. Reduce the use of pain meds and opiates.
2. Have significantly better wound outcomes.
3. Reduce occurrence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
4. Manage lymphedema and other vascular related complications.
5. Use a portfolio of products to help post-surgical patients recovery with less pain, better outcomes and a reduction in the use of pain meds and chronic patients better manage their diseases.
Daily tasks include prospecting for new medical practices while maintaining the existing customer's satisfaction.
Candidates with a current or recent “Book of Business” with Vascular, Wound Care, Orthopedic, Podiatric, Pain Management or Spine Surgeons are of high value and will do well in this position.
Detailed product and market training will assist you to generate leads, plan customer product demonstrations, generate proposals, complete sales and execute training sessions.
Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge as well as competitive products.
Successful sales representatives frequently visit their physician office customers, communicate with operations staff to ensure products are being dispensed, and continually seek to build their customer base.
Achieve annual and quarterly revenue goals, develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Must have ability and willingness to travel throughout the territory with occasional overnight stays depending on geography and business needs.
Applicants will be considered if they meet the following criteria:
- 2 or 4 year Associates or Bachelors college degree
- Prior or current participation in a team sport is highly desired
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance (mileage will be reimbursed for company activity)
- Upbeat, positive and optimistic approach with a true love of people
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal
- A willingness to adapt to changing market conditions
- Critical listening skills
- Must perform in a team environment while giving others credit for great performance and ideas
- Employment is contingent upon a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
- A condition of employment is the use of a company provided GPS vehicle safety and tracking system
