What are the responsibilities and job description for the Massage Therapist position at Rebound Physical Therapy, Inc.?
Medical Massage Therapists are needed for REBOUND PHYSICAL THERAPY as a well-recognized and very busy Massage Therapy business. Our Massage Therapists are devoted to helping our patients feel better through recovery or just to receive a relaxing massage. You can set your own hours and days so our clinic receptionists can work with those hours and days to fit clients into your Rebound schedule.
You will start out working much like an independent contractor so you can control your own schedule, work part-time or work full-time Monday through Friday. After a full-time schedule has become your trend, you can then receive benefits, paid days off and paid holidays. We would actually prefer a Massage Therapist who has worked with the medical side of massage and can interpret the medical terminology our Physical Therapists use.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- 500 Hours in Massage Therapy Training - to verify your education.
- A* Certificate in Medical Massage Training - *this will be your best fit for Rebound.
- Working with Physical Therapists - Massage Therapists work directly with PTs and PTAs to coordinate and establish the most effective treatment & healthcare plan.
- A "Treated Area" - This is an area worked on by a PT or PTA, that will require you to ask for their approval before treating with massage techniques.
- A Professional Therapeutic Relationship - An ideal candidate whom you will dedicate your practice to and will build strong relationships with your clients.
- Please don't forget - your own Self Care and your Session Notes!
- Taxes - Unlike an Independent Contractor, your taxes WILL be deducted as usual.
- Market Yourself Easily - Use a Massage Chair in reception area for people waiting.
- Please clean your table before leaving so it is ready for your next Rebound client!
More than anything, we are looking for a therapist who is dedicated to our patients, has fantastic attendance, and is also willing to learn, grow and continue building our Rebound Medical Massage Program.
