Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control/Shipping Clerk to join our team. The primary focus of this role is quality assurance of each part arriving from manufacturing, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards before proceeding to the next stage.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance (QA): Perform detailed inspections of products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Reject Non-Compliant Parts: Identify and reject any parts that do not adhere to QA guidelines, utilizing our database for each part's specific QA requirements.
- Accurate Documentation: Mark Work Orders (WO's) completely and accurately to reflect the inspection results.
- Utilize Inspection Tools: Use tools such as volt readers and measuring instruments to conduct precise measurements and compare finished products against QA specifications.
- Data Analysis: Analyze inspection data to identify areas for improvement in the production process.
- Maintain Product Integrity: Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Shipping Support: Serve as a backup for the shipping department when the main shipping clerk is unavailable, and periodically participate in shipping activities to remain proficient.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with quality control processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in work and strong analytical skills.
- Mechanical Skills: Mechanical experience is welcomed and considered a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic skills to access and update QA databases.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting Pay: $19.50 per hour.
- Probation Period: Maximum of 90 days, with potential for an earlier pay increase upon mastering the job responsibilities.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break at 1:00 PM.
