Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role within RTTB, overseeing projects from conception to completion. Reporting directly to the Regional Construction Manager and Chief Operating Officer, this role demands a strategic thinker and a results-driven leader capable of aligning projects with RTTB’s mission while ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution. The Senior Project Manager may lead a team or work independently, depending on the project scope and requirements. This flexibility allows for a tailored approach to driving innovative solutions that meet community and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership and Execution
- Lead the management of projects, from initial planning through successful completion.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring alignment with RTTB’s strategic objectives.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including community partners and funders.
- Manage projects independently or lead a team, depending on the scope and nature of the assignment.
- Strategic Planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans with clearly defined objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics.
- Partner with senior management to ensure projects support RTTB’s mission and long-term vision.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
III. Financial and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and compliance with funding guidelines.
- Oversee vendor and contractor agreements to ensure optimal performance and adherence to terms.
- Provide financial updates and make adjustments to project plans as needed to maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all projects meet RTTB’s quality standards and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct evaluations to assess project outcomes against initial goals and industry benchmarks.
- Maintain meticulous documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Present regular updates on project progress, addressing challenges and highlighting successes.
- Work with marketing and public relations teams to share project achievements and impacts with broader audiences.
- Team Management and Development
- Supervise, mentor, and inspire project staff, cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Provide team members with the tools, training, and support needed to achieve project goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to enhance individual and team productivity.
Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proven experience in program or project management, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree required, a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and project tracking tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Ability to travel between districts as needed.
- Experience in non-profit or community development sectors is a plus.
