Summary of Position
The AmeriCorps Program Coordinator is involved in all aspects of Rebuilding Together Seattle’s program operations, from working with low-income homeowners to meeting with program supporters, such as volunteers, corporate partners, municipal agencies, and other nonprofits. This position offers a dynamic working environment where the AmeriCorps Program Coordinator will support our organization’s mission through tasks such as conducting homeowner outreach, activating community volunteers, organizing project logistics, and compiling program data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the program application process for homeowners, including fielding inquiries, assisting with applications, conducting site previews, and tracking the application process.
- Collaborate with staff to place volunteer groups with appropriate rebuilding projects and manage homeowner communications throughout the process.
- Assist in managing volunteer intake, providing training, and overseeing volunteer work to ensure quality and safety.
- Arrange purchase and delivery of project needs, maintain inventory, and accept in-kind donations.
- Maintain a record-keeping system for program services and evaluate program data to create reports.
- Develop and coordinate trainings on healthy housing for homeowners and volunteers, promoting community awareness of housing issues.
- Meet with community organizations and local leaders to identify collaboration opportunities and build a strong client referral network.
- Support outreach strategies to increase awareness of our work among target populations.
