Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Events & Marketing Intern to join our team. This role will be integral in planning and executing events around our storefront near Lavell Edwards Stadium, including product drops, gameday tailgates, brand collaboration activations, and pop-up events. The intern will play a key role in designing the customer experience at our store by assisting with the merchandising strategy and in staffing the store throughout the week, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Execution: Assist in planning and executing events such as gameday tailgates, brand activations, and pop-up events at the Rec League storefront. Coordinate logistics, including setup, teardown, and ensuring all necessary materials and resources are available.
- Store Operations: Assist in managing inventory and visual merchandising to showcase our core apparel, licensed merchandise, and brand collections. Staffing the store on to provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming, lively environment.
- Marketing: Help create promotional materials for events, such as social media posts, flyers, and email campaigns. Assist in managing social media accounts to promote events and engage with customers.
- Project Management: Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Experience Design, Communications, or other related fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools.
- Availability to work flexible hours, with a consistent schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings for events.
- Interest in the intersection of fashion, sports and business.
