Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This includes engines, motors, pneumatic actuated equipment, conveyor systems, compressors, pumps, industrial piping, hydraulic systems, and specialized production equipment. You will ensure the efficiency and safety of our mechanical operations by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in or perform removal, installation, repair, and maintenance of pumps, compressors, motors, and rotating machinery.
• Perform basic fabrication and mechanical duties such as pipe and valve installation and bracket fabrication.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Assist in facility maintenance, including plumbing repairs and other essential ground functions.
• Support job planning, estimating time, materials, and identifying requisitions.
• Prepare sketches and simple drawings for mechanical setups.
• Participate in design reviews and the management of change (MOC) processes.
• Serve as an "on-call" technician during off-hours, weekends, and holidays for troubleshooting and repair.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to maintain forklift certification.
• Preferred Certifications: MSLT, Overhead Crane Operator, Aerial Work Platform (AWP).
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pump and compressor operations, valve repair, and installation.
• Experience with coupling maintenance and laser alignment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including standard PPE and respiratory devices.

Work Environment:

• Rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, mechanical parts, fumes, and hazardous materials.
