Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Repair Technician is responsible for identifying the root cause of product failures from customer returns or testing issues within the assembly and manufacturing process. This role is crucial in maintaining product quality, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Manufacturing Repair Technician collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production employees, to:
- Develop and implement quality control measures
- Conduct inspections and audits
- Provide guidance and training on quality standards and procedures
Responsibilities:
- Verify and inspect the quality of mechanical/electronic parts and assemblies according to standards (reads and interprets blueprints)
- Assemble and disassemble a wide range of products using drawings, work instructions, and performance specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot product issues
- Inspect and analyze production rejects and failures
To be successful in this role, you will need strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or Quality Engineering Certification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience:
- With a degree: Minimum 1 year of technician/repair experience
- Without a degree: 2-3 years of experience in repair, testing, and assembly
- Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow directions given in written, oral, or diagram form
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manipulate small and delicate components using a variety of tools
