Through our patent-pending process, we produce an amazing and versatile product called biochar. Biochar helps industries as diverse as agriculture, construction, energy, and health & beauty. It also stably stores greenhouse gasses that otherwise would have been released and polluted our air.
What most people toss aside as worthless, we turn into a valuable product and do substantial good for the planet at the same time.
reCap’s first production location is in Tallahassee, FL. Our director of production operations will play a key role in the organization today and into the future, improving and standardizing operations at the Tallahassee site and planning future operational sites throughout Florida and the Southeast.
The Position
Our director of production operations will be a key member of the reCap leadership team, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of production, providing guidance and leadership for our production staff, and working to o
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations, overseeing a production team of 2-4 members
- Optimize and improve the efficiency of manufacturing and industrial processes
- Ensure smooth functioning of production lines and coordinate process improvements
- Develop new techniques, best practices, and improve existing processes
- Provide oversight and guidance for operational efficiency
- Develop and document production best practices and SOPs
- Assess manufacturing partners and plan future operational sites
- Maintain communication and coordination with local government leadership partners
- Coordinate and develop systems to oversee production operations
- Assist with other relevant tasks to as needed to ensure overall efficiency and operational success
In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
- A 2- or 4-year college degree
- A minimum of 2-years’ experience managing teams and/or developing and deploying production systems and processes
- Familiarity operating large equipment
- Experience utilizing industry-specific software
- Experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
