Overview: We are seeking an experienced Composites Product Engineer in a dynamic environment. In this role, the Composites Product Engineer will serve as a technical product lead for our automotive composite material projects, ensuring all customer-specific and internal company guidelines are being followed in the development phase.

- Technical Product Lead for automotive projects using thermoset composite materials, carbon fiber, glass fiber, and epoxy.
- Main point of contact for OEMs and suppliers during the development phase of composite parts.
- Manage the customer-oriented development team regarding requirements for automotive/motorsports and fiber composite components.
- Propose new product/part designs based on manufacturing and assembly feasibility using composites, carbon fiber, and glass fiber materials.
- Troubleshoot part design to identify root causes and countermeasures for meeting requirements.
- Ensure the development is aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct regular design reviews to ensure design targets are met.
- Implement Design FMEA.
- Ensure all customer-specific and internal company guidelines and specifications are being followed in the development phase.
- Degree in plastics engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, or comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in the automotive/motorsports and fiber composite technology fields.
- Understanding of current requirements and processes of the automotive/motorsport industry, including future trends.
- Detailed understanding of the fiber composite part production process.
- Knowledge of lightweight construction technology and its design guidelines.
- Thermoset composite material experience desired.
- Knowledge of simulation and virtual validation of fiber composite parts.
- Experience in seat development.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) experience.
- CAD experience with Catia V5.
- Experience of common automotive development and quality processes.
- Quick learner, work independently, committed, teamwork, and communication skills, and hands-on mentality desired.
- Travel - 25% to suppliers & customers.
