Reserve Quality Inspector

SUMMARY

The Quality Tech is a member of the quality management team. He/she performs inspection of materials and products for conformance to defined requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, to determine inspection and test methods/procedures.

Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to defined requirements per the boundary book and check sheets

Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.

Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.

Recommends corrective action procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.

Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, and to verify adherence to functional specifications.

Reads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications and is calibrated.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in mechanical inspection and visual appearance standards where applicable.

PLEX knowledge a plus.

Time Management Skills

Availability to work overtime including occasional weekends, public holidays, and evenings.

Communication Skills

Team player with excellent communication skills, positive attitude & high attention to detail.

Good organizational and communication skills, personable and presentable.
