*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Clinic Aide/Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and assisting in clinic operations/front desk duties.
*Schedule*
Approximately 9:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday ( /- 30 minutes depending on needs of clinic and schedule availability)
*Responsibilities*
o Schedule appointments according to clinic manager
o Perform clerical duties such as taking inventory, reporting low supplies, answering telephones, taking messages, filling out forms, registering new patients, scheduling new & existing patients, accepting co-pays.
o Answer all calls in a professional and courteous manner
o Verifying insurance and collecting co-pays
o Registering new patients
o Retrieving mail and checking voicemails
o Set-up basic therapeutic exercise treatment and procedures for patients prescribed physical therapy under the plan of care and supervision/direction of a licensed Physical Therapist/ Physical Therapist Assistant.
o Consult with supervising Physical Therapist regarding progress and changes in patient’s condition.
o Observe patients during treatments, evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to the Physical Therapist.
o Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information.
-Explain Clinic services to walk-in traffic
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
*Requirements*
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a medical clinic or physical therapy clinic is preferred but not required
-Basic understanding of health insurance is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
-Friendly attitude is required
-Greet all patients in a courteous manner
-Basic Spanish speaking ability is a plus but not required
-College students are encouraged to apply
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem, PRN
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
