As a Customer Category Manager for Essential Home, you will assist in developing and executing category strategies across the portfolio in Target. You will report to the Category Team Lead and partner with the category team and the Target sales managers in developing and sharing insights to drive superior category results for assigned customers and the Essential Home portfolio.
You will be a crucial team member as we leverage data from Numerator, Nielsen, and other available tools and resources to influence assortment, merchandising, and strategies for assigned channels to grow the categories in which we play.
In summary you will...
Support mutual growth and deliver category insights that help drive our overall portfolio and category growth. You will also be responsible for converting in-depth shopping and omni retail environment data into insights and category, retail and customer strategies and recommendations.
* Utilize Numerator, Nielsen, and other available resources and tools to identify category opportunities that present mutual growth opportunities for our brands and the category.
* Provide strategic guidance by identifying and evaluating category performance, assortment, and developing actionable recommendations.
* Create recurring business reviews and customer facing category presentations by providing deep analysis on drivers using insights from multiple data sources including market and industry trends, competitive reviews, with actionable recommendations.
* Develop, update, and monitor weekly reporting for categories our brands play in from Nielsen.
* Develop, update, and monitor weekly category reporting from customer data systems to understand customer and panel-based trends in responsible assigned categories.
* Work closely with internal teams and the local sales team to create category landscapes and narratives to support innovation and company strategies.
* Help sales team to prepare for line reviews from a category perspective.
* Interface with the customer as a category expert during meetings.
* Be able to manage priorities and time across multiple customers and sales managers
* 4-year college degree. MBA preferred.
* 4-5 years of experience and proven knowledge/understanding of Nielsen, Numerator, and assigned customer data systems.
* Direct category experience with Target.
* Must be able to demonstrate ability to independently conduct in-depth data analysis and use the data to develop strong, persuasive selling stories.
* Computer proficient Microsoft Office with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience with Microsoft PowerBI
* Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to successfully multi-task.
* Knowledge of Consumer-packaged goods industry in assigned customers.

Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
