Sales Manager (No Incentive)

Role

Responsible for managing and motivating a direct sales team, building strategic relationships with new and existing customers, and assisting in sales and marketing strategy development. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Essential Responsibilities

• Leads a direct sales team to develop marketing acquisition strategies, develop new customers and provide service and information to existing customers.
• Acts as liaison with government agencies and provides reliable information and education concerning product.
• Oversees the sales team in responding to inquiries for information and service from customers and general public.
• Provides industry sales leadership to incentive plan and non-incentive plan sales team members.
• Leads the sales team in identifying and generating new customers by telemarketing, networking, cold calling and other means.
• Determines marketing activities and budgets to drive sales growth.
• Reports to management on customer and competitor trends in the industry.
• Collaborates with account managers, operations, marketing, and others to determine new product opportunities.
• Identifies and contacts potential customers/decision maker or influencer.
• Attends professional association meetings.
• Calls upon existing customers to obtain feedback and assurance of continued quality service.
• Monitors bid call information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six years of sales management experience in resource recovery or related industry.
• Principles of personnel training, supervision and evaluation.
• Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
• Technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications and programs in position related area.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster teamwork.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.
• Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
