Summary of Description:
The Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline and based on experience the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. Could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, controls, etc.
Duties:
- Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned.
- Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least six (6) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
License Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
Specific Skills:
- Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
- Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
- Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
- Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Position Summary: The HVAC Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventative maintenance, repairs, and unit changes for HVAC systems. This role ensures that all HVAC units are maintained to the highest standards, supporting optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventative Maintenance Scheduling:
·Plan and schedule preventative maintenance (PM) for approximately 500 HVAC units on a quarterly basis.
·Ensure an average of 8 units are serviced per day, maintaining a consistent PM schedule.
2. Refrigerant Management:
·Order refrigerant as needed to ensure adequate supply for maintenance and repairs.
· Maintain accurate refrigerant logs to track usage and compliance with environmental regulations.
3. Contractor Monitoring:
·Oversee the activities of the filter contractor to ensure timely and effective filter changes and maintenance.
·Coordinate with contractors to address any issues or delays in service.
4. Unit Change Out Updates:
·Manage and update records for HVAC unit change-outs, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
·Coordinate with relevant teams to facilitate smooth unit transitions and installations.
5. Repair Scheduling:
·Schedule and coordinate repairs for HVAC units, ensuring all repair information is accurately entered into SAP.
·Write requisitions for materials needed for specific unit work orders, ensuring timely procurement.
6. Invoice Review:
·Review and verify invoices related to HVAC maintenance, repair, and contractor services.
·Ensure all invoices are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC systems preferred.
· Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in HVAC maintenance and coordination.
· Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry up to [50] pounds.
· Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to outdoor weather and HVAC system components.
Work Environment:
· This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet maintenance schedules and repair needs.
· The role involves working in both office and field environments.
