Overview
Construction Estimator / Project Manager will provide project management and estimating for construction project(s) through coordination, field project activities and quality control tasks of the assigned project(s) for various phases of the Constructors project(s). You will be a part of and work closely with project leaders, oversee timely distribution of all information, including project submittals, completed plans, weekly meetings, change orders, invoices, etc. The main goals will be to drive and support the delivery of profitable complex projects on schedule, on budget with complete customer satisfaction, in a safe manner and within quality standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Being able to interpret drawings and diagrams, Designs, constructs, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete or brick.
- Ability to read blueprints and translate them to project execution and action in the field, knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work
- Prepare scope of work or bid packages for soliciting subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Receiving, evaluating and compiling subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Responsible for proposal submission details such as bid time, location, bid runner, bid form.
- Responsible for plan take-offs and quantity calculations for vertical and horizontal construction types – ability to manage and supervise same.
- Multi-task oriented capable of running multiple tasks concurrently.
- Maintain new job info, including all contacts, review subcontracts, submittal register, maintain project schedules; track / manage job costs and produce monthly WIPs
- Meeting attendance throughout projects with owners, subs, architects, and engineers;
- Leading and supervising daily activities, plans, coordinates, monitors project costs and productivity, as well as working with Superintendents / Foreman to overcome issues with changing and / or unforeseen field conditions and address issues as they arise with minimal delay
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing or via radio, address and resolve conflicts with coworkers, suppliers, and clients.
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to take and compute measurements.
- Attend / Host daily tool box meetings and company training programs.
- A history of building positive relationships with Contractors, Owners, and Engineers.
- Ability to lift objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures
- Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries, wear all site specific mandated protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots and safety glasses.
- Ability to read, understands, follow, and enforce safety procedures and prepare written reports and forms.
- Insure employees are working safely and following all established safety policies, wear all site specific mandated protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots and safety glasses.
- Complete and pass annual phosphate training and attend all safety training programs related to job.
- Adhere to OSHA safety requirements. Wear mandated protective equipment and clothing.
- Exercise the right, responsibility, and obligation to stop work when knowledgeable of job hazards.
- Ability to work safely in a wide variety of climatic conditions and job site environments commonly found at Moretrench job sites.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Additional Information
Salary Range : $82,000 - $91,000 / year
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
