TITLE
Scenic Production Manager – In Person
DESCRIPTION
This role’s primary focus will be to partner closely with our internal Account, Design, and Fabrication teams as well as outside vendors to ensure projects are successfully executed on time and to our client’s expectations. Projects range from custom footwear and seeding kits, to large scale scenic builds and event executions. This role requires a self-starter that can efficiently accomplish tasks with minimal instruction and supervision. Succeeding in this role requires the ability to stay calm under pressure, maintain excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and have an overall get it done attitude. This person must be comfortable engaging people of all backgrounds, have strong communication skills, and be willing to work both independently and as a team. The Production Manager will often be seen as the face of RECON and will be expected to portray RECON in a professional and positive manor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to plan, lead, organize, and execute events and marketing builds related to scenic or fabricated items
- Work with our in-house account, design, fabrication teams as well as external partners to ensure the client’s vision come to life and deliverables are met
- Research and source best materials based on client needs
- Conduct site surveys and provide accurate measurements and images as necessary
- Lead installation crews and execute on-site to ensure the client’s vision comes to life and expectations are met
- Responsible for quality control of project related deliverables
- Develop and maintain workback schedules and status reports
- Solve problems in creative and resourceful ways
- Manage and execute multiple projects within tight timelines
- Oversee, crosscheck and deliver files for print and fabrication
- Maintain and develop a professional network of sub-contractors and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in Scenic Project Management or equivalent for at least 3 years
- Strong working knowledge of design elements and costs with understanding of construction process and various build/print materials
- Skill and experience in requesting cost and time estimates from vendors
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite program
- Understands pre-press and graphic file deliverables
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to learn and become skilled in project management software - knowledge of Asana preferred but not required
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are a must
- Manage and execute multiple projects within tight timelines
- Willing and able to travel throughout the US for projects
- Ideal applicants will have experience working with large sporting goods companies and will have a passion for sports
- Be able to lift/push/carry items of up to 100lbs
