What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glass Repair Technician position at Recondition Pros?
Summary:
The Glass Repair Technician is a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation and repair of auto glass. You would be responsible for developing new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work, while providing our existing customer base excellent customer service.
1st shift hours: 7am - 3:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to Company safety rules and policies
Safely drive and operate vehicle at all times while obeying all traffic laws
Professionally install vehicle glass.
Assist ordering of parts and staging of parts.
Deliver all services provided at shop or Mobile Glass in the most efficient and timely manner focusing primarily on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
Deliver work orders, customer administration and customer communication.
Safely operate a variety of vehicle glass tools.
Safely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the workday.
Communicate clearly and effectively with all scheduled customers using various forms of technology, including but not limited to in-person, texting or phone call conversations.
Ability to recalibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems utilizing tools and processes
Professionally install power window regulators and replace side and back window glass.
Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge.
Ability to adjust to changes in schedule and work diligently and effectively with Customer Advocates and Dispatch to ensure customers are assisted in a timely manner.
Ability to learn and perform cutting flat glass as needed.
Provide customers with status updates for each repair or replacement scheduled.
Begin each day successfully by adhering to our daily Check-In Check-Out process.
Assist other members of your team as required.
Present, promote and sell Recondition Pros promotional items to customers.
Report any unexpected damage, accidents, injuries, or incomplete jobs to the Manager immediately
Use hand held device for photographs, log-in/log-out vehicles and customer information
Navigate a variety of routes throughout the work areas while adhering to a time schedule
Must be comfortable moving vehicles and working in inclement weather (i.e. wind, rain, snow, heat, etc.)
Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: mask, gloves, face shield/goggles, non-slip shoes and/or other protective garments/equipment as needed
May be required to work overtime as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by ReCondition Pros management
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred
3 years of glass repair experience preferred
Basic computer skills will be required
Experience in customer service or other related fields is preferred
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. for short periods multiple times a day
Ability to remain flexible with hours and days trained/worked as workload fluctuates due to frequent changes in customer and business demands.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
Must have a valid and clean driver’s license
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Must be highly motivated, self-starter and work as a team player
Must have high levels of attention to detail, be able to multitask and stay organized
Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time throughout the shift
Must be able to occasionally move about inside the warehouse to access cabinets, supplies, etc
Must be able to to occasionally lift, move, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
