The team lead is responsible for supporting and leading the Production team by gathering data, training, and providing guidance to employees assigned to a work cell or function.

The team lead is responsible for supporting and leading the Production team by gathering data, training, and providing guidance to employees assigned to a work cell or function.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Drives the production SLA’s (Service Level Agreements)
- Provides supervision and guidance to assigned employees.
- Responsible for movement of trained personnel to effect line balancing.
- Serves as an educator, communicator, and problem resolution link for all production issues.
- Identifies and reports any slowdowns in production.
- Coordinates and communicates with all departments as needed.
- Works in a team to address and/or improve production issues.
- Monitors and reports violations applicable to safety, ESD and security rules or regulations.
- Tracks and reports daily trend information such as yield, process errors, rework data, audit failures.
- Reviews and understands procedures for products scheduled.
- May require training any new employees.
- Identifies training needs and works with staff to ensure needs are consistently met.
- Communicates the shift's schedule to employees.
- Ensures everyone has the appropriate supplies available, i.e. boxes, bags, etc.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
Education/ Work Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.
- Some computer skills – excel/email OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
