Job Title : Construction CPA Recore Electrical Contractors, Inc. Electrical Contractor We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction CPAto join our dynamic team at Recore Electrical Contractors, a leader in the industrial electrical contracting industry. This role is ideal for a CPA or CPA candidate who is ready to take ownership of the companys accounting functions (Will succeed current controller), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in streamlining processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the company's growth and success. Financial Management : Participate in the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Eventually being responsible to prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate and prepare for audits, working closely with external auditors. Maintain proper documentation for tax filings and regulatory reporting. Process Improvement : Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems. Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets. Mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Specialty Contractor Focus : Track and manage job costs, change orders, and contract billings. Work closely with project managers to monitor budgets and financial performance of projects. Handle progress billings, including AIA contract billings, lien releases, and compliance with construction-specific financial requirements. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the construction or specialty contractor industry is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software. Advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with job costing and construction-specific financial software is a plus.
