Job Responsibilities:
- Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including lighting, climate control, and various power distribution systems.
- Work with blueprints when installing electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities.
- Able to indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment.
- Install new electrical equipment.
- Installing and Bending of EMT and Rigid conduit.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience.
- Able to replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
- Perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance.
- Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy.
- Perform electrical testing and system monitoring, and recommend necessary improvements/repairs.
- Maintains good housekeeping, which may include, sweeping the work area with a broom, organizing tools and materials, and keeping surfaces clean.
- 2 years of electrical industrial and/or commercial service experience.
- Perform troubleshooting on both analog and digital circuitry.
- High degree of skill at analyzing problems and developing solutions.
- Safely work on electrical and electronic systems up to 480v.
- Operate most electronic test equipment.
- Read and analyze schematics.
- Skilled in hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft programs, and interfaces.
- Perform in office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
- Ability to work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, and reach overhead to complete certain tasks.
