Position Overview:
Recovered Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support its Physical Therapy department. The PTA will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver personalized, goal-oriented care in a Long-Term Care setting. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, from short-term rehab to long-term residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy interventions and treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with exercises and mobility techniques, including balance and strength training
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and document progress
- Collaborate with the PT to adjust treatment plans as needed
- Instruct and educate patients and families on at-home care and techniques
- Transfer patients safely between mobility aids and therapy stations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling and chart documentation
Requirements & Submission Details:
- 1 year of PTA experience – Required
- LTC or Rehab experience – Required
- Active PTA license – Required
- BLS certification (AHA) – Required
- Missouri State License – Required (Compact license accepted)
