We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Dietary Supervisor to join our team of healthcare professionals!

The Dietary Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and providing safe food practices to the facilities and clients. The Dietary Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the condition of the kitchen and cafeteria in an orderly manner; and reporting any identified deficits to the Executive Director. In addition, this position supervises a diverse team of dietary staff and oversees clients’ dietary needs within the facility’s policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and regulations.
- Scheduling and coverage of Dietary staff, during all business hours, and ensuring that there is appropriate coverage.
- Training department staff to complete all necessary tasks for program operations.
- Ensuring staff maintain all patient confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
- Lead menu/recipe creation and pricing, documented per organizations request.
- Managing break schedule to ensure all staff receive break.
- Comply with health and safety regulations for production, holding, handling, and labeling.
- Ensure that department areas (shelves, bins, service and storage areas) are in clean, orderly condition meeting Health Department and customer service standards.
- Ensure timely response, ordering and processing of catering and special orders for department.
- Negotiate with suppliers and brokers for favorable pricing, terms, quality and delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a related field (food service, food preparation, and/or catering and merchandising, preferably in a natural grocery environment.)
- Supervisory experience
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to use computer equipment properly for long periods of time.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and walk with it across the kitchen and cafeteria.
- Sit, stand, walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel occasionally.
- Use of fine motor skills for typing, grasping, chopping, manipulating objects with fingers.
