Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide Peer Support: Offer emotional and practical support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. Share personal experiences and coping strategies to help others on their recovery journey.
- Assist with Goal Setting: Help individuals set and achieve short- and long-term recovery goals, including sobriety, employment, housing, and social reintegration.
- Advocacy and Empowerment: Advocate for clients within healthcare systems, social services, and legal settings to ensure they receive necessary resources and support.
- Resource Coordination: Help clients access community resources such as treatment centers, housing, employment programs, and support networks.
- Educate on Recovery Tools: Provide education on topics such as relapse prevention, healthy coping strategies, and lifestyle changes to maintain long-term recovery.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track clients’ progress, document interactions, and report on recovery milestones as needed for treatment teams or case managers.
- Confidentiality: Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to privacy laws and ethical standards.
Requirements
