Are you ready for a rewarding challenge? Recovery Defined is adding to the team and is seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC II, LCDC III or LICDC) for a full-time position in our Dayton and Middletown, Ohio offices. This team member will provide drug and alcohol counseling services to individuals who are dependent on alcohol and/or other drugs by conducting assessments, determining treatment and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. The incumbent will also complete required documentation and monitor client progression towards therapeutic goals.

This is the ideal position for a counselor who has a desire to join a growing treatment program and travel to multiple locations.

This position's hours are:

  • Full-time: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Recovery Defined’s Chemical Dependency Counselor position requires an active Ohio LCDCII, LCDCIII, or LICDC or another equivalent licensure (LSW, LPC, etc.)

At Recovery Defined Chemical Dependency Counselor' responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide diagnosis and treatment for clients within the range of program services, especially those requiring chemical dependency treatment.
  • Act as an advocate for program participants with other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.
  • Coordinates the implementation of treatment-related activities.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions.
  • Monitor and document client drug screening results.
  • Ensures compliance with clinical programming.
  • Maintains and completes required documentation prior to the end of the shift. To include communication, incident reports, progress notes using clinical documentation.
  • Provide outreach and case management to primary clients.
  • Prepare written reports, client progress notes, and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics in accordance with Ohio Chemical Dependency Board requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
