We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our debris removal operations team in Avery County, North Carolina. The primary responsibility involves operating a truck to transport dump trailers loaded with debris from job sites to designated disposal locations. Candidates must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Preference is given to local candidates and those who own a truck capable of pulling a gooseneck trailer.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport dump trailers loaded with debris from work sites to disposal facilities.
- Attach, secure, and transport gooseneck trailers in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations as needed, including coordinating with excavator operators.
- Drive in diverse terrains, including steep slopes, mountainous roads, and snowy or icy conditions.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
