What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addiction Counselor position at Recovery Place, Inc.?
Recovery Place is a substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment facility providing group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, relapse prevention, medication management, aftercare, and 12-step recovery programs. For over three decades, we have provided the treatment that clients need to overcome their substance use disorder and behavioral health disorders regardless of their financial status through both inpatient and outpatient services.
Currently, we are seeking full-time Master’s level or Certified Addiction Counselors to join our team. Our Counselors provide individual and group substance use disorder counseling as part of our comprehensive prevention and treatment program. Counselors also provide case management services to assist clients in gaining the skills and resources they need to live an independent life. Counselors manage a caseload of not more than 30 individuals.
We are seeking candidates who have a passion for helping people. The ideal candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, along with two years of experience in counseling and working with adults with substance use disorder issues. Current Georgia licensure in good standing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor or CAC I or II certification is a plus. This position may require candidates to work evening hours to meet the needs of the business. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
In addition to a full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k with company match, paid time off, and other supplemental insurance, we offer the chance for counselors to obtain supervision hours they are able to use towards their licensure. We provide four hours of clinical supervision per month at no cost to employees conducted by qualified supervisors. We also provide additional training opportunities every month where counselors are able to obtain GACA approved CEU’s, again at no cost to employees.
Minimum Requirements include: Has a Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or related filed, or is enrolled in an accredited Master's Level Counseling/Social Work program or is a Certified Counselor; Has basic computer skills, word processing and spreadsheets; effective verbal and written communication skills.
